The short version: Bento Widget does not collect personal data, does not require an account, and does not share anything with third parties. Your widget configurations live on your device.
The Bento Widget app collects no personal information. There is no account system, no sign-in, and no backend server that receives your data.
All widget configuration data — layouts, complication settings, countdown dates, custom text — is stored locally on your device using iOS App Group storage shared between the app and the widget extension. It never leaves your device.
Bento Widget may request the following permissions depending on which complications you use:
The Bento Widget app contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
This website (bentowidget.app) uses TelemetryDeck to count page visits and button clicks. TelemetryDeck is a privacy-first analytics platform designed for Apple developers. It does not use cookies and does not track individuals — signals are sent with a one-way hashed identifier derived from your browser's user-agent string, which cannot be reversed to identify you. No IP addresses are stored.
Bento Widget has no relationship with any advertising network and does not sell or share any data.
Bento Widget does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app has no data collection mechanism regardless of age.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Since the app collects no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect you in any meaningful way.
